Introduction #
The ClimateControl module is designed to provide smart functionality for most Panasonic Residential Air Conditioning (RAC) units (both wall and floor-mounted) that feature a CN-CNT interface.
Installation #
The setup process depends on your specific model and desired functionality.
- Standard IoT Functionality: Connect the ClimateControl module directly to the CN-CNT connector on the indoor unit.
- Existing Wi-Fi Modules: If your unit already has a factory-installed Panasonic Wi-Fi module, it can typically remain connected, allowing you to use both the official Panasonic app and the ClimateControl interface in parallel.
Wireless Thermometer #
Note: This feature is only available on models that explicitly support external sensor integration. It is not supported on IoT-only models.
To utilize the wireless thermometer, you must connect it via the CN-TH port:
Insert the supplied splitter cable between the main board and the existing cable to ensure both can function simultaneously.
Locate the CN-TH Connector: Identify the 4-pin or 6-pin connector on the main board of the indoor unit.
Install the Splitter Cable: * Disconnect the existing cable currently plugged into the CN-TH port.

Adjusting Heat mode thermo shift adjustment #
The standard offset setting must be set to a different value. If this default value is not changed, the AC will heat to a higher temperature than the setpoint. For most AC’s this is +2C. So by default with a setpoint of 20C, the final temperature will be minimum 22C.
By adjusting setting 58 “Heat mode thermo shift adjustment” to -2, the room temperature will be minimum of 20C with a setpoint of 20C.
